Shipping & Freight Policy
Effective September 15, 2026 · Revised October 7, 2026 · Revised October 16, 2026
Before You Order
Large equipment ships by freight. Four questions decide whether your delivery goes smoothly. Please check all four before ordering.
- Can a 53-foot semi-truck reach your address?
- Freight arrives on a full-size 18-wheeler and stops at the curb or driveway edge. Drivers cannot enter private driveways, unpaved roads, narrow lanes, backyards or garages.
- Do you have a way to unload an oversized crate?
- Crates longer than 84 inches (7 feet) cannot be lowered by liftgate. Your options are a forklift with fork extensions, a crew to unband and unload piece by piece, or a tilt tow — which we can arrange for you for a flat $1,450, or you can organize yourself. Our phototherapy beds are the exception — tilt tow is included at no charge.
- Can your building supply the power it needs?
- Traditional cedar saunas need a dedicated 240V circuit (30–50A). Our M6 Plus phototherapy bed needs a hardwired 40A circuit. Infrared cabins and light therapy panels run on standard household current. Check the product page, or ask us — confirming this before you order is faster than discovering it at installation.
- Is someone able to be present at delivery?
- The carrier will call to schedule a window. An adult must be present to inspect the crate and sign the paperwork.
Crate length is listed on each product page. If any answer above is no, contact support@recoverywarehousehq.com before ordering and we will work out the delivery method with you.
1 · Overview
Our catalogue includes standard parcel products and heavy, high-ticket recovery equipment — outdoor saunas, infrared cabins, phototherapy beds, cold plunge systems and chillers. Delivery procedure varies by item size and weight, and the two categories are handled very differently.
2 · Processing & Transit Timelines

Freight Shipping — Made-to-Order Items
Most handcrafted outdoor saunas are built to order after your order is placed. These do not follow the transit timelines above — build time is additional and varies by model, options and season.

A lead time shown on an individual product page overrides the general timelines here. If you have a deadline, tell us before ordering and we will confirm it in writing.
Cutoff Time
Orders placed before 5:00 PM PST on a business day begin handling the same day. Orders placed after 5:00 PM PST, or on weekends and holidays, begin processing the following business day.
3 · Rates & Destinations
- Free shipping on most orders
- We offer Free Freight & Standard Ground Shipping on orders within the 48 contiguous United States. Freight cost is included in the price you see.
Free shipping covers delivery to your address — it does not cover unloading the crate. See section 4 for what delivery includes and what it does not.
- Where we do not ship
- We do not currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. Territories, or international addresses.
- P.O. Boxes not accepted
- Freight and large parcel orders require a valid residential or commercial street address at checkout.
4 · LTL Freight Delivery & Unloading
Large equipment — including all Dundalk Canadian Timber saunas, our phototherapy beds, and heavy plunge systems — ships via Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) freight on wooden crates measuring 6 to 14 feet long and weighing 160 to 1,600 lbs.
Curbside Delivery Only
Freight is delivered by a standard 53-foot 18-wheeler and is strictly curbside. Drivers deliver to the curb or driveway edge only. They cannot pull into private driveways, unpaved roads, narrow residential lanes, backyards, garages, or inside homes. The customer is responsible for verifying that the delivery address can accommodate a 53-foot semi-truck.

Your Four Unloading Options
For crates longer than 84 inches, the customer is responsible for getting the crate off the delivery trailer. Any of the following is acceptable:
- Arrange equipment on site. A forklift with fork extensions is required to lift the crate.
- Collect from the delivery terminal. Use a trailer to pick the crate up at the local terminal yourself, rather than receiving curbside delivery.
- Arrange a tilt tow yourself. Rent a tilt tow truck and collect the crate from the terminal, or have it delivered to your home. If you arrange this yourself, you pay the tow provider directly and we charge nothing.
- Assemble a crew. Have helpers able to either take the sauna off the truck, or unband and unload the crate while it is still on the truck, until the crate itself can be lifted clear.
If none of these are possible, contact us before dispatch. We arrange tilt tow delivery on your behalf for a flat $1,450, charged at the time of arrangement. This keeps your crate off the terminal floor and avoids storage fees.
Red Light Therapy Beds — Unloading Included
Our three phototherapy beds ship with tilt tow unloading included at no charge, arranged by us before dispatch. This differs from standard sauna freight — no unloading arrangement is required from you. Each bed arrives off the truck and onto your property without you arranging a forklift or a crew.
Crate sizes and weights for each model are listed on the product pages: the M6 Plus at 237 × 139 × 135cm and 460kg gross, the M-MB Plus at 230 × 128 × 116cm and 300kg, and the M4N Plus at 203 × 100 × 103cm and 160kg. Tell us your delivery address and access before ordering and we will confirm what is involved.
Delivery Appointment
Once your shipment reaches the local destination terminal, the carrier will call to schedule a required delivery window. The customer, or an authorized adult representative, must be present to inspect the shipment and sign the carrier paperwork.
5 · Freight Inspection & Damage Protocol
Critical rule: do not refuse shipment under any circumstances, even if the crate or packaging is visibly damaged. Refusing delivery results in round-trip freight charges billed directly to you.
At delivery — three steps:
- Accept the crate from the driver regardless of visible exterior damage or open packaging.
- Inspect and annotate the receipt. Before signing the driver's paperwork, examine all sides of the crating. If you see any damage, puncture, tear or crushed wood, write the following exact phrase on the physical receipt or Bill of Lading before signing: (Crate arrived open/damaged — Possible Hidden Damage)
- Photograph and report. Take clear photographs of all four sides of the crate, any damaged areas, and your signed BOL notation. Email everything plus your order details to support@recoverywarehousehq.com within 24–48 hours.
Claim Windows
Two different clocks apply, and it matters which one you are on.
|
Claim Type |
Window |
Notes |
|
Transit damage |
24–48 hours |
Report to us with photographs and your annotated BOL |
|
Missing components |
30 days from receipt |
Report to us within the manufacturer's claim window — do not wait if you find something absent |
|
Manufacturer defect |
30 days from receipt |
Verified defects are handled under warranty replacement at the manufacturer's discretion |
Check your crate contents against the packing list as soon as practical after delivery. Missing components are far easier to resolve inside the 30-day window than outside it.
Disclaimer: signing the delivery receipt without noting damage on the driver's BOL legally releases the freight line of all financial liability and voids replacement claims for transit damage.
6 · Commercial & Business Deliveries
If you are ordering for a business address — a gym, resort, spa, studio or clinic — please note the manufacturer's requirement that businesses must have a loading dock or other suitable equipment to unload sauna crates. Commercial deliveries are not unloaded by the carrier beyond curbside.
If your premises do not have a dock or forklift, tell us before ordering. Options include terminal pickup, a tilt tow arrangement, or delivery to a residential address where you can receive the crate.
For our phototherapy beds, commercial delivery is often the simpler case — tilt tow unloading is included and we arrange it before dispatch, so a clinic without a dock or forklift does not need either.
7 · Order Tracking
When your order dispatches from our factory or warehouse, an automated notification with carrier details and tracking or PRO numbers is sent to your email. You can monitor progress through the freight carrier's online tracking portal.
8 · Fees, Address Changes & Storage
All fees that may apply to your order are listed here. We would rather you read them now than discover them at the curb.
|
Fee |
Amount |
When It Applies |
|
Tilt tow delivery |
$1,450 flat |
Arranged by us before dispatch, where the crate exceeds 84 inches and you cannot unload it yourself. If you arrange your own tilt tow, you pay that provider directly and we charge nothing. Except the phototherapy beds, where tilt tow is included at no charge. |
|
Address change after dispatch |
$350.00 |
Any re-consignment or address modification requested once the truck has left the facility |
|
Terminal storage |
$35.00/day minimum |
Missed delivery windows, unresponsiveness to scheduling calls, or unloading delays that leave the shipment held at the terminal |
Address changes requested before shipment leaves the factory are processed free of charge. Storage fees are charged to the customer account before final release.
Please respond to the carrier's scheduling calls promptly. Most storage charges arise from a missed call rather than a missed delivery.
9 · Returns, Cancellations & Restocking
Standard parcel items
Unopened standard parcel items — accessories, wraps and small gear — may be returned within 30 days of delivery, except where an individual product page states otherwise. The customer pays standard return shipping costs.
Freight and sauna orders
Custom-manufactured, made-to-order and special-order sauna kits, cold plunges and freight units are non-returnable once dispatched.
This reflects our manufacturer's terms, under which returns are not accepted. Where a verified manufacturing defect or shipping damage exists, replacement components may be provided at the manufacturer's sole discretion — this is not an automatic entitlement, and each claim is assessed individually.
Full processing rules are set out in our Refund & Return Policy page.
10 · Contact
For questions about freight preparation, delivery scheduling, site accessibility or power requirements, contact us before ordering — it is far easier to arrange than to correct.
